• Lacrosse officials shirt with a Byron collar and a pocket on the left breast. Extra length, or tall, shirts are recommended because they are easier to keep tucked in (minimum of one long sleeve and one short sleeve recommended)
• White Cotton shorts (5" inseam recommended).
• All-black officiating shoes.  Cleats are not required, but may be worn. (Officials may use a black permanent marker or "shoe black" to color over logos, stripes, or other designs on shoes)
• Socks - white with 4" black tops
• Black belt
• Official hat (black with white piping)
• Under garments, if worn, must be black

Note: Youth officials are only required to have an official's shirt, white shorts, and hat.

• Two Fox-40 whistles: recommend finger whistles
• Two weighted yellow penalty flags (15"x15")
• Small six (6') foot tape measure
• Coin for coin toss
• Lacrosse 20-second timing device
• Scorecard and pencils

Note: Youth officials are only required to have a whistle and flag(s).

Optional (Recommended) Uniform Items:

• Black nylon rain pants
• Striped official's jacket
• Shoe polish and brush for shoes
• Striped, short sleeve mesh shirt (for warm games)
• Official's Nylon Rain Hat (for foul weather games)
• Compression shorts (for those really big games)
