Youth
Training (U.S. Lacrosse Level 1) sessions are held for prospective
youth referees on a regular basis at various locations throughout
Georgia. This training is for those who are interested in
officiating Boy’s lacrosse at the sub-High School (Youth) level.
The classroom training session is the first of four steps that must
be completed to be a U.S. Lacrosse-trained Youth Official.

Youth Official
Training Requirements:
- Attend Youth (Level 1) classroom training session
- Completion of the rules test - either
written or online
- Completion of on field training
- Registration with U.S. Lacrosse as an
official or a cross-participant.

membership can be found online.
The field training is an actual game or scrimmage where the trainee
officiates under the supervision of an experienced official. Trainees
should wear comfortable clothes. Trainees must either bring a Fox 40
finger whistle or they can purchase one at the class. The cost of a
whistle is approximately $7.
Both classroom and field training sessions are scheduled based on
demand. Generally, there are no classes during the high school lacrosse

The cost for the classroom training is $30 cash or check (preferred).
Please bring the payment to the classroom training session. This fee
covers the cost of the training materials from U.S. Lacrosse.
