US Lacrosse will host a number of LAREDOs this fall near Georgia. These are a great way to grow and develop as an official! Participants must be current US Lacrosse members. GLOA officials who attend and complete the certification may request a stipend from the Kevin Moore fund to offset costs. Level 2
Level 2 clinics teach two-person mechanics and are geared toward officials looking to develop their skills and become stronger overall officials. These clinics combine classroom training with a heavy emphasis on repeated on-field observations for immediate, actionable feedback from the clinicians.
A level 2 LAREDO clinic November 9-11 at the Southside Holiday Classic in Peachtree City, GA. The event is the premier Fall Lacrosse tournament in the Southeast. In addition, that same weekend a second clinic will be held at the Paradise Coast Lacrosse Classic in Naples, FL.
Level 3
Level 3 clinics teach three-person mechanics and more game management skills. These clinics combine classroom training and challenging on-field observations that emphasize proper positioning, game management and a focus on key areas of responsibility.
There will be two Level 3 Clinics this fall. The first in Tampa on November 16-18 and the second in Austin on November 30 -December 2.
US Lacrosse Officials Development Clinic
On December 15, 2018, US Lacrosse will host a Professional Development opportunity for officials of all levels at Pace Academy in Atlanta, GA. There will be experienced clinicians on hand to facilitate discussions on mechanics, fouls recognition, positions, faceoffs and crease play and game management.
There will be two tracks:
- New/Inexperienced officials – rules knowledge and fundamental mechanics
- Veteran officials – more open-ended, discussion about what they have the most difficulty with.
