The Atlanta Falcons Youth Fund (AFYF), an associate-led fund of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, has established the Georgia Youth Sports Officials Recruitment program and awarded a $50,000 grant to the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) to increase the number of sports officials in the state.
The grant is for new official registering with GHSA for the first time (cannot be a past GHSA official in any sport)
The $250 grant and redfunded GHSA registration fee will help to alleviate the financial burden on new lacrosse officials.
In order to receive the grant, new GHSA officials MUST complete:
- all registration steps in DragonFly including the registration fee payment.
- the Recruitment Grant – New Official APPLICATION and email the completed form to Clyde Allen at [email protected].
- a GHSA lacrosse game this Spring.
Once the first contest is worked by the new official, Clyde will secretary verify active status for the official in the GHSA MIS system before funds are made payable to the new official by the GHSA.
if you have any questions please reach out to Clyde Allen at [email protected].
