2025 GLOA Spring Training Schedule

The GLOA has once again partnered with Pope High School to host the spring season training session on Sunday January 12, 2025 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Dress is casual. Coffee and snacks will be provided. There will be no lunch served.

Please note there is only one in-person event for returning officials. The sessions will be recorded and made available to those who cannot attend.

• Rookie Officials are required to attend four zoom sessions in addition to the in-person event. (See below)
• Returning Officials, which includes officials trained this fall, are only required to attend the in-person event.
• Savannah & Augusta based officials may attend either the Atlanta or the Savannah (see below) in-person event. Please contact Chris Foran with questions.

If you are interested in becoming a boys lacrosse referee this Spring, please fill out the Interested in Becoming a Boys Lacrosse Ref Form and a member of our recruiting team will reach out to you and walk you through the process!

This is for ADULT training only.

Youth training is conducted in August.

Adult Registration: Two-Step Process

Step 1: All adults MUST register with DragonFly if they plan to work GHSA games.* The GLOA can be found by searching “ZDB78K” or “GA Lacrosse Officials Association.” For more information on the process check out this post on registration.
Step 2: All adult officials MUST RSVP for the Spring Training here.

* Adult officials who plan to ONLY officiate youth games must be USA Lacrosse members and register with GLOA here.

Please note that if you are a GHSA coach you may officiate GHSA games not in your region.

Check in from 8:20 to 8:50 am.  We will start promptly at 9:00.

Same location as last year; we will be in the New Auditorium. Walk between the main building and the New Gym and Auditorium as if you were walking to the football turf field.  See diagram below and follow the dotted yellow line between the buildings.

Rookie Training Schedule

Rookies should plan to attend the four (4) rookie zoom sessions and the in-person session at Pope HS. Finally there will be an Assignor’s call on February 4 to on board all new officials and transfers into our Arbiter assigning platform.

• Zoom Call 3 Tuesday January 21, 2025 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
• Zoom Call 4 Tuesday January 28, 2025 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
• Assignor’s Call Tuesday February 4, 2025 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Note that all zoom sessions will be recorded.

Zoom links will be sent out prior to the first session to all registered participants.

Savannah based rookie officials should plan to attend all zoom sessions and the in-person training in Savannah.
