Marietta, GA – January 30, 2019 – For the past dozen high school lacrosse seasons,
the AJO4LAX Fest has honored the memory of former Pope Greyhound stick man Andrew Oswald
with a full slate of varsity lacrosse games, played consecutively at Pope High School stadium,
on a single Saturday in Mar
ch.
With the recent announcement by the Andrew J. Oswald Memorial Fund Ltd.’s Board of
Directors that the foundation is being sunsetted in 2019, Saturday, March 23 marks the ?nal
installment of this popular annual event.
2019 AJO4LAX schedule:
- 10 a.m. – Walton vs Westminster
- Noon – Lassiter vs Woodward
- 2 p.m. – Lambert vs Blessed Trinity
- 4 p.m – Lovett vs Roswell
- 6 p.m – Pope vs Johns Creek
Oswald (#4), was a standout attack man who was tragically killed in an automobile accident in
2005. Over the years, the Andrew J. Oswald Memorial Fund Ltd. has raised funds for college
scholarships, grants, and teen safety initiatives in his name.
A single ticket ($7 adults and $3 children) covers admission to all five games.
