The National Intercollegiate Lacrosse Officials Association (NILOA) has changed the process of identifying and selecting collegiate officials. You may review the entire process here.
Experience Requirements:
- At least three years high school varsity experience
- HS play-off experience (preferably semi-finals/finals)
- Experience with three-man mechanics
- Successful experience at the higher club level
- Club or Post-Collegiate Club experience
Candidate will be required to submit their application. If selected to attend a tryout there will be a $100 tryout fee. After completing a successful tryout, the candidate is required to complete all of the requirements to become an active NILOA official as detailed on the NILOA website.
Below are the Inside Lacrosse events that are sanctioned NILOA tryout events. These events are also available to newer NILOA members who wish to be observed in order to improve their officiating mechanics and skills.

November 12, 2016– Brown University, Providence RI
- 3 fields
- 18 games
- 3 division (2017/2018, 2019, 2020)
IL Southeast Invitational
November 12, 2016– Atlanta Silverbacks Park, Atlanta GA
- 3 fields
- 18 games
- 3 division (2017/2018, 2019, 2020)
Officials who wish to try out should complete the application and send the completed form to District Governor Dave Kazmerowski with a check for $100 made out to NILOA.
